Ethan Anguiano

I was born and raised in Waxahachie, TX. It is there on the on the public lakes and stock stank cover pastures that my love for waterfowl hunting was born. I grew up chasing dove, turkey, and deer down in south Texas, but sense the age of 14 when I first heard the jet like sound ducks make when flying over the blind I’ve been hooked on chasing waterfowl all over the lower half of the central flyway. No matter what the bounty is I just have an uncontrollable passion for God’s creations and the great outdoors.

Currently I am finishing up my last two years of college, waiting tables on the side, and working towards building up a film production company called the Red Dirt Fowlers. It’s a crazy life, but the free time available to me from the books and work is 100% focused on my true passion that is waterfowl hunting. To some it’s just a hobby or sport, but to the Red Dirt Fowler crew and I it’s a way of life. From scouting out lakes and fields to diligent networking in the waterfowl industry, we do it all in pursuit of being the elite water fowlers of our generation. The plan is to one day make duck and goose hunting our lives, but until then school and chasing the dream we’ll half to do.

Jason Barber

Living in south Louisiana Jason Barber grew up hunting waterfowl from the age of 14. He bought his first duck call and began to teach himself by watching videos and listening to tapes. . Now having the support of his wife Jessica, of 14 great years, Jason hopes to share his knowledge of waterfowl hunting to his two children, Austin, 12, and Taylor, 9.

Jason is a member of Delta waterfowl, Ducks Unlimited and CCA where he trying to start a youth waterfowl weekend for southwest Louisiana.  His time spent in the outdoors is mostly spending time with his good friends, his black lab “Baylor”.  As being part of 2 great teams, Leg Iron Calls and Rig Em Right Waterfowl, Jason plans to share his knowledge and experience through shows and events across the south.

“I have spent a lot of money on calls from all over and I am very picky on the sound and durability of a call if it sticks or locks up it goes on the shelf. Leg iron calls is the FIRST call I have picked up and blew and loved the sound and quality”

Ben Busboom
Home: Lawrence KS

Ben grew up in Nebraska and has been hunting since he could walk. Some of his first memories were walking through fields of CRP alongside his family carrying a pop gun wearing a coon skin cap and firing imaginary shots at flushing birds.

Since then Ben has moved to Kansas where he works as a scientist helping to restore and protect wetlands and waterfowl habitat throughout the Midwest. Some of his past work has included studying water quality and fisheries populations in rural Alaska, restoring shallow water habitat along the Missouri River, and studying urban pollutants that impact water quality and wetland production in and around eastern Kansas. Ben is also currently pursuing a degree in Natural Resource law and hopes to someday become a major influence in wetland, conservation, and public hunting policy on a national scale.

Ben’s unique background gives him an edge when it comes to pursuing waterfowl. He spends nearly every day in and around wetlands and water and therefore has developed a unique understanding of the relationships between habitat and bird movement. This understanding has proven extremely beneficial in his pursuit of ducks and geese during hunting season.

When Ben’s not working or in school he can almost always be found somewhere outdoors he is constantly in the pursuit of waterfowl, chasing fish or scouting ducks on rivers and lakes in KS, or training his Labrador (Echo). When he is not able to be outside, he is an active member of his local Ducks Unlimited Committee and enjoys spending time with his wife Karla in Lawrence KS.

Steven Dibble
Home: Vicksburg, MI

Steve was born and raised, by a single father, in the small town of Vicksburg, MI.  His father and grandfather taught him much about the outdoors and he credits much of his knowledge and success to those influential people.  As a proud father himself, he looks forward to spending time in the blind with my son, Drake Allen Dibble, in a few years as well.  Harley, a golden retriever and Cash, a newly acquired black lab, are his current hunting partners. In the off-season Steve enjoys attending hunting and fishing shows, and also participating in waterfowl calling competitions.

He is eager for the opportunity to share experiences and hunts with everyone affiliated with Leg Iron Calls, and adds, "it's a true pleasure to be a part of this great company. And I would like to take this brief moment to thank my wife for all the support and family time that she sacrifices.  Waterfowlers put a ton of time and money into what they do and it is just great to have a wife that supports what I love."

Steve is currently attending the MCOLES Police Academy and looks forward to the completion in the spring of 2010.  He will be a certified Police Officer in the State of Michigan.

Carey Egeland
Home: South Dakota State University

I grew up in Southwestern Minnesota learning how to hunt from my dad, Curt and our hunting buddy Mark.  A passion for hunting and conservation was instilled in me from a very young age. I have been hunting ever since I can remember and I have always loved duck hunting the most.  The classes offered had little to do with what school I chose to go to, I wanted to be where the ducks were.

At South Dakota State University it seems like everyone duck hunts, which means there is more competition and always someone to hunt with, this made my passion for water fowling even greater.  I am a board member of the SDSU Ducks Unlimited Chapter and a member of Delta Waterfowl. My favorite set up is a morning field full of fullbodies. I recently started filming hunts and hope to continue in the future. I enjoy long walks in the slough and flashlight lighted mornings. Leg Iron Calls is my first Prostaff.

Dustin Gleed
Home: Salt Lake City Utah

I'm 31 years old. Being a Waterfowler is a deep rooted passion of mine that started as father/son time from a young age. I have been waterfowling since the age of 7. I began duck and goose calling at the age of 9. Right now, I own a duck boat with a long tail motor that I use to hunt on public Wildlife Management Areas. I hunt mainly over water with floater decoys, but I have hunted fields. I also have two Labrador Retrievers, Sandie and Maggie. Maggie is my die hard companion in the marsh, but unfortunately she doesn't blow calls very well.  She is one heck of a retriever though. Occasionally I'm able to talk my wife into going out with me and taking Sandie. It's great when we can get our little family out, and my wife gets the chance to out shoot me.

Kris Hirschbock
Hometown- Klamath Falls, OR.

Kris Hirschbock was born March 29, 1992. He has been around the outdoors ever since he was knee high. He was introduced to big game hunting by his grandpa at age six and at age at seven he went on his first waterfowl hunt and has been hooked ever since. It has been instilled in Kris to be the best he can be at everything he does. Whether it’s setting up decoys, calling, shooting, or getting everything ready in the off season; he is constantly involved in waterfowl.

As a kid Kris has always been part of the outdoor programs in school, such as forestry, AG classes, 4-H, FFA, basketball, and football. He has also been helping guide for Basin Guide Service since his junior year of high school. This last year he finally got the opportunity to take over the business, and now he is the new owner of Basin Guide Service. Growing up in Klamath Falls with a dad who seems to know everyone made it easy for Kris to hunt on private ranches and cattle ponds.  Kris believes that you get out of everything what you put into it. It is also important to Kris that youth get the opportunity to fall in love with hunting. For the past four years he has taken at least six kids out for the youth hunt."I think it should be fun for kids. I try to make them laugh and have a good shoot. I also want to keep them safe and show them pointers that will help them in their future of water fowling."

In his free time Kris loves to spend time with his family and friends. He owes everything to his mom and dad for teaching him to have a good work ethic and believing in him every step in his life. He would also like to thank his fiancé, Ashlyn for being there through the good times as well as the bad.

Sean McGinn
Hometown: Macedon, New York

Ever since I became old of enough to small game hunt, waterfowl hunting has been my passion. I can remember the first time my father took me out duck hunting. On youth day he took me to a local farm that had a low swamp bottom, wood duck whistles and chuckles of mallards echoed the swamp as we attempted to sneak in through the timber. As day break hit, it was an aerial assault of wood ducks and mallards dropping from the treetops. Everything was so fast paced and exciting to say the least. At the end of the morning, I was two boxes of shells empty, and birdless. Although i walked out of the swamp birdless, that day was the beginning of one determined duck and goose hunter.

For the past 4 years, I have been avidly chasing waterfowl all over Central and Western NY. The Finger Lakes hold thousands of birds during the fall migration every year making waterfowl hunting out in NY superb. I am currently a student at SUNY Cobleskill in NY studying Wildlife Management with the hopes of becoming a Wildlife Biologist. While attending Cobleskill, I have met a great group of friends that are just as passionate about waterfowl as I am and since last fall we started a group name called "Team Maple Leaf". As avid waterfowl hunters we are trying to get our name out into the waterfowl business and have been filming our hunts ever since last fall.

I am honored and thankful for Joe Thole to consider myself ProStaff for the company and am really looking forward to promote Leg Iron products throughout the waterfowl seasons. Good luck hunting to all!

Brent Stark
Home: Swartz Creek, MI

I live in Swartz Creek MI w/ my wife, two young children, and Walter the black lab. I received my first Kenny Martin goose call and Olt duck call when I was 10 years old and have been hooked ever since.  I cut my teeth on duck and goose hunting, hunting near Fennville in SW Michigan w/ my dad and his family.  I now spend most of my water fowling time going thru the draw at Shiawassee State Game Area or hunting the rich farm land in and around central Michigan.  I learned very quickly hunting on crowded public areas that it takes more than just life like decoys and the perfect camo to draw birds, it takes knowledge, skill, good calling and a little luck to convince the birds your set up is better than the group next to you.  Most Octobers you will find me hunting ducks and geese in the waterfowl rich prairie pot hole region of North Dakota.

I hope some day I am able to pass on my enthusiasm and knowledge to my kids!

I am very honored and proud to be a part of a great Michigan based call company in Leg Iron Calls, I feel they are the best call available on the market today

Tyson Tabler
Home: Evans, CO

I was raised in Longmont, Colorado and at a very young age I would frequently tag along with my dad and older brother in pursuit of game ranging from deer, elk and various small game.  Waterfowl was something that my dad never did growing up, but once I got a taste of it, there was no stopping the addiction.  Since then, I have been an avid waterfowler, having hunted ducks and geese for nearly 18 years, averaging 50+ days in the field each year.  It has become such a passion that it ultimately lead to the start up of Feathered Fowl Outfitters, which I currently own and operate, making it a way of life!

I currently reside in Evans, Colorado with my wife Tara and son Austyn.  We put up with two labs, Bailey and the up and comer, Avery. You can also find me chasing pheasants a few times a year as well as trying to stick that bull, buck or turkey of a lifetime with my bow. During summer months we enjoy camping, fishing and keeping our dogs tuned for the upcoming season thru training and participating in hunt tests.
